Time for a Change

Hello everybodeeeeeeee!
Thought that, seeing as how the new year is literally just around the corner, it was time for a new look blog..... so 'ere 'tis!
Also, have been doing some more playing with my new toy.... LOVING IT!! Here's a little snippet of some shots for you to peruse.... what do you think? These are all taken in my garden. The rings on the rose was really experimenting... I never had any shots like that from my wedding, so thought I'd have a go myself... my mum has asked me to do some for her to put in her wedding album, too!

So there you have it... probably my last post for 2010. I hope you all have a wonderful time welcoming in the New Year, whatever you may be doing. Best wishes for 2011; may it bring you everything you need and also some of what you want!!

Thanks for looking. Warmest wishes, Catie xo

New Toy!

Hi and hello!
Did you all have a wonderful Christmas? Ours was nice and quiet and peaceful... a lovely day spent with family.
We went and had a squiz at Harvey Norman in the Boxing Day sales and picked up a really good deal on a new toy for me... an early birthday pressie! So exciting! Today we went to a nearby Lagoon and sort of wild bird reserve, and I had a bit of a play with my new toy... what do you think?

These next couple are ones I took last night, after the battery had been charged for the first time... just experimenting a bit...

I can tell I am going to have lots of fun with this new toy... when I'm not thinking about the part where we have to pay it off! LOL!

Some to share and Merry Christmas!

Hello again,
As you may or may not know, earlier this week, the last CC for the year was on over at Bon's Scraps.
This first LO is for the scraplift challenge. We had to lift a LO by the ultra-talented Chantal Vandenberg, and were required to use left over alphas, in true Chantal style, as well as have something Christmassy on the page, and use a doily and/or decorative punch.
I found this LO hard to do... I have always admired and loved Chantal's work, but can in no way do it justice! It was fun trying out something completely different though....

This son-shiny one is for the DT challenge, which was opened up to all of us this month. The criteria were a 2x3 inch photo, glitter, product that is older than 6 months, and yellow. Just about everything on this LO is older than 6 months, and I had a lot of fun getting superfine glitter everywhere! My scrapping area is nice and sparkly now!

Well, that's about all for now. Have a fabulous Christmas whatever you may be doing. Thanks for all your encouraging comments over the course of the year - I really appreciate them all! May your Christmas be filled with fun, laughter, love and many, many special memories!

On a Roll!

Hello friends,
Here we are with another rainy Sunday.... bring me my Summer please!!! It's getting harder and harder to find warm clothes to cover this bump!
Here's a little more digi goodness for you to glimpse...

Happy Sunday, and I hope the weather is warm whereever you are reading this from in the world (though I'm guessing not if you're in the Northern Hemisphere!).

Stuck?!Sketches Dec 1 Challenge

Hi and hello!
Here is my take on the sketch over at Stuck?!Sketches. I have been playing with digital scrapping lately, as my traditional stocks are not really inspiring me at the moment... having lots of fun and a bit of frustration as well. Anyway, I'm happy with how this turned out and really loved this sketch.

WW1 December Challenge

' Lo again!
Another quick update with my LO for the WW1 December Challenge. The criteria this month is white, grey and masking.... I knew from the outset that this really would be a challenge for me. The CT pages are just gorgeous and so inspiring. I however, have no suitable coloured Glimmermist or the like and thought, 'EEK! What on Earth can I do for this!'
Anyway, I found some grey cardstock, and some chipboard thingies to use as a mask, got out the white paint, stuck everything down and away I went... then I had to find a photo......
So anyhow, the upshot is, I have done a page, and though I'm not sure I'm entirely happy with it, I think it's growing on me... slowly! LOL.

KIU December Challenge

Hi Loverlies,
I checked out the December challenge over at Kraft It Up this morning, and just had to get stuck into it straight away! Love it! I've always loved purple, blue and silver as non-traditional Christmas colours, and knew I would have the perfect combo of these colours to use in this challenge. Why not get over there and give it a go!!

From Last Night

Hello Again,
Here's a LO I did last night, just cos, to use up some alphas from my stash. I just realised as I uploaded this, that I have done another LO, with a different photo, with the same name! Ooops! Oh well. They both look very different, and he really is my big kindy boy!

Hello lovelies,
Today's pages come to you courtesy of 2 different challenges. The first is for the November Write Now Challenge at Bon's Scraps. The criteria included writing a thank you note to someone special in your life, plus at least 2 different alphas and a heart somewhere on the page.

The second LO is for the November challenge at Kraft It Up! and the requirements were to use Kraft and incorporate decorative edges.

I have also started working on something a bit spesh for myself, but will share once it's almost finalised.

More Scrapping - Yippee!!

Morning All!
I am so loving getting back into scrapping at the moment! This first LO is for the November Challenge at White With 1. The criteria is white and yellow as predominant colours, and journalling straight onto the LO. I had this yellow doily I found at the op shop, which was just perfect for this challenge.

This second LO is a 'just cos' LO of my DD seeing Dora at Harbour Town. She is Dora MAD!

I wonder what I'll create today???

I'm Back!

Hello Everyone!
Finally, I have SCRAPPED!!!!
The first LO is for the awesome sketch challenge by Tara Scobie, from the October CC at Bons Scraps.

The second LO is for the DT Challenge at Bons, also from the October CC. I set two of the criteria, and thought I'd better give it a go myself. The criteria were: Monochromatic, Stars, Blue and Handmade alphas. I like how it turned out in the end.

Hopefully, I'll be able to get back into the groove properly and start producing more pages! I am also looking forward to seeing my first published LO this month....

Hooray for Spring - that is all I can say!! It is so lovely to see the sun shining through the window and to feel the sun shining on my skin as we go for our daily walk. Even though there are cool breezes, the sun is delish!!!
What is your favourite thing about Spring? Enjoy it, whatever it may be!

This one is for the DT challenge at Bon's. The criteria were to use eyelets, a rainbow and doodling. Had a lot of fun doing this one.

This is a just because LO of DS being a total goof! Too funny!

This was for the July CC Scraplift Challenge at Bon's. We had a scraplift a LO done by Malinda Gardner, and seeing as how I met her a couple of weeks before, I thought it only fitting to scrap the photo of the two of us!

This one is for the July CC Sketch Challenge at Bon's - an awesome sketch by Charmane Koch, which we had to do on a LO size that we don't usually scrap on; I chose 8x8.

And the last one is for the Colour Challenge for the July CC at Bon's. The colours were red, cream, black and white only. Also had to use more than one flower and paint using our fingers. We also had to have an element coming off the page... mine is the tab at the top left of the page.

So, there you have it. The colossus update! Enjoy!!
