Hello everyone!
Can you believe it is only an hour and a half to go before 2009 ends, and we embark on the New Year that is 2010?! 2009 has just gone by soooo fast for me, I can hardly believe any of it is actually real.
I am very excited about the beginning of a new year... I always have a feeling of anticipation for all the possibilities that it holds and the promise of a fresh start. I know there's no special magic that wipes the slate clean or makes everything brand new, and that one day just continues to follow the other, but I really feel like there is a special feeling at the beginning of a new year... know what I mean?
Well, these are the last few cards I made in 2009, plus a little OTP project I did this week to hang on the door of my Craft Corner. I have also added a heap of pictures of Karen Burow Paintings to the slide show at the bottom of the page - check them out; they're FANTASTIC!!
I wish you all a very Happy New Year, filled with happiness, blessings, love, joy and many, many special memories. May 2010 be everything you are hoping for and more!

Thanks for looking. Warmest wishes, Catie xo

'Tis the Season to be Flat Out Like a Lizard Drinking!!!!

Oh, good golly, it has been nearly a month since I updated my blog! And I cannot believe how quickly the time has gone, and how much I have done in that time. I have been so busy with Christmas preparations, as have most people, as well as making cards and bags for orders, plus increasing stocks for the markets. On top of that I have had a couple of CM parties to keep me out of trouble also!

The following cards were for an order I had for 15 Christmas cards recently...

This is a card I made for a 21st birthday... I designed it so that all the guests at the party could sign it - a special memento for the birthday girl...

These are Christmas cards I have been making over the last week for the markets I held a stall at today...

...plus a couple of new novelty ones I am experimenting with... sold the first one below today! From the feedback I got from people today, they think they're pretty cute... what do you think? I am working on a gypsy and a cowboy at the moment, and will then do some baby cards in this range also... watch this space...

And lastly, below are some bags I made for an order last week. The first two pictures are the same bag - green on one side, red on the other. I made it so that it can be fastened no matter which side of the bag you choose to have showing when using it...

This small bag was made for a 4yo girl... it has pink floral patches on the other side, but I didn't take a picture of the pink side (oops!).

So there you have it; this is what has been keeping me so busy lately. I am relieved that things have settled down for the time being... I have desparately missed doing some scrapping, not having done any for over a month now. Can't wait to get back and start creating some new layouts.
I hope you all have a lovely Christmas, filled with happiness and many special memories and blessings.
Thanks for looking; warmest wishes,
Catie xo

What you mean 2 me!

Hi there!

Here is my latest LO, created for the Xmas Hamper Challenge No. 4 over at the
Challenge Chics site. I was really pleased with this once I finished and saw it all come together.

One of the requirements was to have 4 hand-made embellies. Mine are the star, above...

this poinsietta flower...

this Christmas tree...

and these baubles (above and below). All but the star are made from felt.

There also had to be some hidden journaling; mine is in the scroll, which is tied with some ric rac.

I also hid a litte tab underneath the bottom photo, at the left hand side...

Below is a cute little presents stamp I found in my collection.

I managed to knock this LO over last night, thankfully. I have had such a busy couple of weeks, getting the new business started as well as getting organised for the markets yesterday. I managed to sell quite a few cards, so I was pretty stoked, as you can imagine. I am going to another market next Sunday.
I can't believe there's only 4 weeks til Christmas, and I haven't even started my shopping yet! Eeeekk!! Not to mention cards!!!!!
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

Thanks for looking. Warmest wishes, Catie xo
