A Couple More...

Hello lovelies,

Here's a new Glimmermist trick I came up with last night...

I squirted a heap into the lid, then dripped/poured it around the page in a rough circle, then using the edge of the lid, dragged it thru the puddles of GM and 'teased' it out around the circle. Once I was happy with the shape, I blotted it with a tissue, so it didn't run/bleed on the page where I didn't want it. Make sense? Here's how it looks:

This next LO is another Kit Comp one at Bon's still using the gorgeous girl kit. The flowers are inspired by the very talented Lynette Van Barrelo - aren't they cute!?

Twice in One Day!

Good grief! What's come over me!!

New Stuff

Hello all,

Quick run thru of my latest stuff...

This one is for the awesome colour challenge, from the CC the other night at Bon's.

The challenge was to use green, light blue, cream, black and white only (and you have to use all of these colours), had to have knots (more than one) and had to use the quote "this story means the world to me".

The next 2 are for the Kit Comp at Bon's. I have now completed 10 layouts, using the boy and the girl kit... and still have heaps left over... great value, Bon's kits... go and subscribe today to make sure you don't miss out!!!

This one is from Charm's awesome class from the CC. It was great to see how she'd made a 3D window mat for the photo! Check it out here.


More Kit Comp LOs...

The invitations were a special order for a lovely lady who is a friend of my Mum. The lace rosettes are handmade and all the rest is designed and assembled by moi. If you have a special occassion that you need invitations, or place cards, or thank you cards, or anything made up for, please let me know! I custom make to whatever your requirements may be.

This LO is for the June monthly sketch at Bons. I really love the Graphic 45 vintage papers at the moment!

Another Kit Comp LO...

This double is for the June monthly Write Now challenge at Bon's. We had to use an old photo (longer than 5 years ago) and journal to ourselves about what we'd experience in the years between then and now. Was a fantastic challenge, and the first challenge set by new DT member, the extremely talented Nicole Pomery!

CC Time Again...

Hello everyone,

Can you believe that it's that time again - where does the month go???

7:30 AEST tomorrow night, Tuesday 22 June 2010, check it out here. There will be a free class with Charm, using all sorts of bits and pieces, plus bingo, a brand new sketch, a cool colour challenge by Bon and a scrap lift challenge too! What's not to love? It goes for a week (time to complete the challenges that is) plus there's usually a daily photography challenge too. A great way to get some amazing shots of things you may not have thought of photographing before. Come and expand your horizons! Hope to see some newbies checking it out. We're a friendly bunch and love to see newbies pop in, so come on over and join in the fun!!

I had an awesome time at my CM Retreat last weekend, and once I get organised, I will be uploading photos of my LOs to put on my CM website.... watch this space for more info..... I got over 40 pages done all up, including digital ones in my wedding Storybook.

Ooh Ooh Ooh!!!

Hello loyal followers!

I got some very exciting news today.... SBM have accpeted my "Cutie Pie" LO! Sooo excited - have never had anything accepted by them before, so even though there's no guarantee it will be published, I am still pretty stoked they want to check it out and photograph it! Fingers crossed, they love it and do want to publish it!

Just had to share... other than that, I am freezing at the moment and about to tackle the ironing pile - bleh! Hope you're having a lovely evening and that you're doing something more exciting than the ironing.

On the up side, I have also been busy getting organised for the Creative Memories team scrap retreat that I am going to on the weekend - can't wait!!

Winter Warmers

Hello Everyone,
Can you believe how cold it is at the moment?! My toes are frozen! And I can't type properly because my fingers are numb!
Just wanted to share with you some pics of my latest LOs and a few other bits and bobs...

This first pic is of a cameo pendant I found at the op shop in Bordertown recently... Loved it and used it on the Sweet Girl LO below.

I recently threw a suprise party for my parents, and this pic is them at the party. Was such a great night, and I think they really enjoyed themselves and catching up with friends and family.

This is the cake I made for them... chocolate mud cake...mmmmmmmmmm.

This book is a Home Journal magazine from 1964, which I also picked up at the op shop. It even has the original dress patterns in it!!


I also discovered these music books. The first one was published in 1929 and the second was published in 1935. I am going to photocopy the pages, then stain the photocopies to use on scrap LOs - I can't bear the thought of ripping these books apart!!!

Now to the LOs.......all the ones with Kit Comp above them are made using the amazing June Kits over at Bons Scraps. The others are ones I have done 'just because'.
