Scrap Around the World February entry

Hello everyone!

Have you had a go at the SATW challenge for this month?  I did my page last night :)  I had a lot of fun creating this!  Here is the mood board:



 

 

I took inspiration from the chevron painted pattern and its colours in the top right hand corner, plus the cake and the pinks and purples in the mood board.  Here's my page:

I made these rosettes using a die cutter I have, and coloured them using gelatos and glimmermist.

 





I coloured the edges of these Kaisercraft Paper Blooms with gelatos too.

Another Announcement!

Hey everyone!

 

So, just popping in quickly to let you know that I've had some more happy scrappy news lately, and I can now announce that I will also be designing for Off The Rails Scrapbooking!

Scrap the Boys February Challenge page

Hi again!

 

Just popping in to share my entry for this month's Scrap The Boys challenge.  The challenge is to scrap a pic of your boy with someone special in their life.  Well, naturally, I chose a pic of my boy and I... cos let's face it, mums are pretty spesh to kids.  I've been raising the kids solo since my boy was 5, so we have a pretty special relationship.

 And here are a few close ups.  I used gelatos to colour the flourishes, which were raw, and had some left on my fingers, so then I grabbed the gauze and used it to 'clean' my fingers, which gave the gauze a nice colour to match the layout :)

 I used my paper piercer tool to wind the stems of the flowers around to create tendrils.

 I'm loving this metallic thread I found.  It really just finishes off a cluster of embellies, I think.

 

So there you have it. I had a lot of fun creating this layout. :)

Excited to Announce!

Hi Everyone,

 

I've been very busy lately with various crafty pursuits, which I'll be sharing soon, but in the meantime, here's a little something I'm very pleased to announce: I am now on the Design Team for Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge!  I'm so excited to join the team, and hope you'll all come and check out our challenge for February - a sketch to be revealed on 15 Feb.
