Hello, hello! And welcome to my Craft Corner. If you're blog hopping, you should have arrived here via the lovely Wendy O'Keeffe's blog, and you will have been inspired by her use of washi tape :)
I've decided to use twine for my station. Here's the layout I created, and some close ups of a few different things I've done with twine:
In the pic below, I attached the twine to a hidden shipping tag, which has my journaling on it, and frayed the twine to leave it peeking out at the top of the photo. To achieve the frayed effect, I just held one strand of the twine, then pulled all the other strands down the length of the strand I was holding onto and let it all bunch up at the bottom. I then trimmed the excess off.
In the next pic, you can see I've used some hessian type twine (that I just found laying around on my desk!) and I just tied a bow at one end, and ran the rest along the bottom edge of my photo.
To create the border for the photo, I loosely plaited three strands of different coloured twine together (that co-ordinated with my background) and glued the plaited strand around the edge of the photo.
The twine hanging down from behind the bird's nest charm is the tail end of the plaited strand.
Finally, I used glue to 'write' my title, then adhered the twine along the glue. Such a 'lovely' effect ;).
