Kraft It Up January Challenge

Hi! Welcome!

 

Just wanted to share my layout for the KIU January Challenge, and a few close ups.

 

The challenge is based on this sketch:

 

 

... plus the extra criteria of:

1. washi or similar;

2. summer themed photo; and

3. a number.

 

I used a photo of my kids in summer clothes, including their hats, which was taken at the beginning of summer; washi tape along the top and bottom of the layout; and the number 401 in the title, which refers to the amount of photos I had to take during this shoot of the kids to get a few decent shots!

January Challenges

Hello there,

 

So, I had the opportunity to get some scrapping done yesterday, which was just divine.  I got two challenges done for January, and can't wait to get stuck in to more!

 

Here is the page I did for Scrap the Girls:

 

 

 

This is the great sketch by Amanda Hartmann, that we need to base our page on for this challenge.  I flipped it to suit the background paper I wanted to use.

 

 

 

The next layout I completed is this one, for the 123 Challenge.  The challenge was to use Feathers, Orange and the word "Live".  I sketched my feathers for the background and the embellie at the bottom right hand of the photo is made of feathers.

 

 

 

Right, I'm off to check out another challenge!  Happy scrapping :)

Announcement: Show Us Your Stuff!

Kraft It Up

Hello again! 

 

Back again for the second time in 2 days! Wow, I'm on a roll...

 

Last night, I completed the Dec challenge for Kraft it Up.  The challenge was a Christmas themed layout using either Kraft, White, Pink and Gold, or Kraft, White, Aqua and Silver.  It was an easy choice for me.  Pink is definitely not a favourite colour of mine, and aqua definitely is! So here is my take on the challenge, and a couple of close ups:

 

 

I used gelatos to create the border around the page.

 

So there you have it.  I don't know about you, but I'm looking forward to a brand new year of scrapping challenges. Might even tackle another one tonight...

Scrap the Boys

Hello!

 

I hope everyone has had a lovely Christmas, and is looking forward to the beginning of a new year.  I know I am.  There's just something about starting a new year that renews hope and reignites motivation, I find.

 

Anyhow, I have managed to complete this month's challenge for Scrap the Boys:

 

 

The inspiration was "All I Want For Christmas". I chose non-traditional colours, as I find it totally un-inspiring scrapping with traditional Christmas colours.  I wanted to keep my son's Christmas wish list for him to look back on when he's older, and this challenge was the perfect way to do that.

 

It feels great to be getting back on track with my scrapping.  Off to find the next challenge to do :)

Quick update...

Hello everyone!

Just like that, 2 months has escaped without me posting on here - gosh it goes fast!

So, I thought I'd share a few of my favourite pages from the last 12 months or so... 2013 hasn't been filled with much scrapping for me, and I have missed it terribly.  I am very happy to report that 2014 is definitely going to have much, much more scrapping involved!
