What you mean 2 me!

Hi there!

Here is my latest LO, created for the Xmas Hamper Challenge No. 4 over at the
Challenge Chics site. I was really pleased with this once I finished and saw it all come together.

One of the requirements was to have 4 hand-made embellies. Mine are the star, above...

this poinsietta flower...

this Christmas tree...

and these baubles (above and below). All but the star are made from felt.

There also had to be some hidden journaling; mine is in the scroll, which is tied with some ric rac.

I also hid a litte tab underneath the bottom photo, at the left hand side...

Below is a cute little presents stamp I found in my collection.

I managed to knock this LO over last night, thankfully. I have had such a busy couple of weeks, getting the new business started as well as getting organised for the markets yesterday. I managed to sell quite a few cards, so I was pretty stoked, as you can imagine. I am going to another market next Sunday.
I can't believe there's only 4 weeks til Christmas, and I haven't even started my shopping yet! Eeeekk!! Not to mention cards!!!!!
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

Thanks for looking. Warmest wishes, Catie xo

Exciting Times

Hi there,
Wow, I have been flat out this week getting things organised for my new business and the Launch Party on Friday night. I am starting to get a bit nervous now, but I am sure that once we get started, I will be fine.
I am so excited - yesterday I got my first two party bookings!! I have had a few people say that they will have parties for me, but these are the first two actual bookings! The first one is in two weeks.
I have also been busy getting all my cards and bags ready for the markets on Sunday. This will be my first market, so hopefully it will go well. As we approach Christmas, I hope to sell quite a few cards and gift tags, and the bags would make ideal gifts.
For those of you in Naracoorte, I would love to see you at the markets, and also, let me know if you are interested in hosting a party, or if you would like some more information about our products!
Hope everyone is having a wonderful week.
Thanks for looking. Warmest wishes, Catie xo

Busy, Busy, Busy!!

Hi there!

Wow, it's been awhile since I posted on here... apologies. I have been chasing my tail all week, setting up my new business as a Creative Memories Consultant. I am very excited about this new venture! I haven't done any scrapping this week, or made any stock for the markets next weekend... I really must get onto that ASAP!!

Anyhoo, just a quick post tonight to let you know I have created a new slide show above called "Karen Burow Paintings". Please have a look at the beautiful works of this incredibly talented lady. The pics I have posted are the 4 paintings I have in my house. If anyone would like to get more information about how to purchase Karen's gorgeous paintings, please leave a comment for me, and I will get in contact with you. Aren't they AMAZING?!!

Hope you've all had a wonderful week!

Thanks for looking. Warmest wishes, Catie xo

Christmas Wreath Advent Calendar

Hi there!
Here are some piccies I'd like to share with you of the Christmas Wreath Advent Calendar I made for the Xmas Hamper Challenge #3 over at the Challenge Chics site.

It took me awhile, but I really enjoyed making it, and am quite pleased with the overall effect. Here are some close up pics to give you an idea of what's involved...

This pic shows the holly leaves, and how I layered them around the calendar. I included Kaiser rhinestones as the berries around the wreath and used Kaiser Christmas pp to make the LO.

This is one close up angle of the dove in the bottom left corner of the page. I cut around the outline of the dove, then stuck foam dots underneath to make it sit out a bit from the page and appear more 3D-like.

This is the dove from the opposite angle.

I put stickers underneath each window as a surprise when you open the window for each day. This is what is under window 25...

and this is a sneak peek of what's under the smaller windows.

I cut little shapes from the pp to stick on the top of each window, and used various rub-ons to number them.

I also used the cut out shapes and various embellies to decorate the page and finished off with a few doodled stars about the place.

I think the distressed and rolled edges added a nice touch to this LO.

So there you have it... now that I have finished this, I can focus on making more cards etc, to sell at a couple of markets at the end of this month. Hopefully I can sell some Christmas stock at this time of the year!
Some exciting news I received last week was that I won a prize over at the lovely Sharon Dalton's blog just for making a comment on her blog... lucky me - I won some beautiful Christmas pp from Kaiser!! I am so excited - I just adore Kaiser products. Thanks so much Shaz!
I also found out that I won the Spring Cleaning Challenge over at the Scrapncraft With T site with this LO! So exciting! Thanks so much Tan!
Well, that had better do me for now... must go and get stuck into making more Christmas stock to sell. Hope you've all had a great week.
Thanks for looking. Warmest wishes,
Catie xo
